At BB Imaging, we believe sonography is more than a service—it’s a science and an art. It’s a lifelong vocation that combines the head and the heart, and it requires skill, intuition, and a deep understanding of the human body.
That’s why we advocate for better access to high-quality imaging and elevated outcomes for all. In doing so, we hope to remain a catalyst for change in healthcare, creating more consistent ultrasound experiences for patients, regardless of their geographic location or socioeconomic status.

Co-founders Blanca Lesmes and Ben Buentipo have always understood that ultrasound isn’t just machines and measurements. It’s empowering sonographers to take pride in their craft and offering patients clarity in life’s most meaningful or challenging moments.

What began as a simple goal of improving ultrasound care has grown into a nationwide movement powered by people, precision, and purpose.
2005
BB Imaging is founded with a $2,500 credit card charge for a 10-pound laptop and the determination to make it work.
2013
We celebrate our first regional expansion through a partnership with the Indian Health System in Oklahoma.
2019
We prototype TeleScan®. Blanca loses count of how many people have told her it’s a crazy idea.
2022
TeleScan® receives FDA clearance and launches its first pilot program.
2024
BB Imaging and TeleScan® become two independent companies. Sanjay Patel steps into the role of CEO.
